My name is Real Jones and I am the owner and operator of Haida Fishing. I was born and raised on Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) and am of First Nations (Haida) ancestry. I am married and have two wonderful children, and reside in Prince Rupert, BC. My wife Roberta is from Metlakatla, BC and is of Tsimshian ancestry.

I have been a professional Fire Fighter for the City of Prince Rupert since 2000. Along with my fire related qualifications, I hold many updated medical certifications including First Responder Level III, with CPR, AED, and Spinal endorsements. My boat operator credentials include SVOP, MED-A3, ROC-M, and Marine First Aid. We are Transport Canada approved and participate in the Small Vessel Compliance Program.

While growing up on Haida Gwaii, most of my childhood was spent on the water. From food fishing with my grandfather as a young boy, commercial fishing as a teenager with my uncles, and eventually moving into the sport fishing industry. I have over 20 years experience as a sport fisher, five of which were spent as Fishmaster for an 80 guest, world class all-inclusive sport fishing resort. My duties included the management and on the water safety and security of 80 guests.

We have now operated Haida Fishing as a successful business in the sport fishing industry for over 10 years. Our experience and qualifications will enhance your Ultimate Fishing Experience.
